Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

MS is thought to be an autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system.

In MS, myelin(Nerve protector) is lost in multiple areas, leaving scar tissue called sclerosis. These damaged areas are also known as plaques or lesions. Sometimes the nerve fiber itself is damaged or broken which causes alot of disabilities in the brain and body.

There are four major types of MS :
*Relapsing-Remitting(Most common)
*Primary-Progressive
*Secondary-Progressive
*Progressive-Relapsing

There is no cure for MS yet, but drugs can help slow the course and/or symptoms in some patients.

Multiple Sclerosis is increasing dramatically in kuwait especially among women, although kuwait's geographic area is not in the diseas's danger zone.

For more information about MS visit http://www.nmss.org/

"اللهم اشفي مرضانا و مرضى المسلمين..اللهم ارفع عنَا و عن احبابنا و اهلينا و جميع المسلمين"

I'm proud to say that my wife is fighting MS and I swear to God shes the strongest woman I've ever met! I feel ashamed when a flu gets me!

All of my love and support to my lovely wife and I wish her a "flawless victory" against the damn diseas!

Anonymously Ill-Informed

Ok let's start over again. My brother's previous post has created quite a racket, especially with a certain ill-informed "anonymous" user. Why use such a colorful limited vocabulary to express oneself?
I have a question for all the people out there, well...not all but for those of you who actually read my blog (my thanks to all of you, I really appreciate it!). My question is: WHY do people always jump and argue or debate issues with NO legit information to back them up?

It's human nature to argue or rather, to question. Actually, I like that. But when a person argues, they have to argue using "legal" sources, instead of depending on what "my friend" or "my parents" said. Or even on what the MEDIA state. Don't believe everything you see at the media.

Debate is a beautiful thing, I've participated in debate for a very short while once upon a time. And I LOVED it. Yet it's tougher than anyone can imagine, you really have to be well-informed and (this is for some people I know) well-EDUCATED. Up till this day I still debate with people. I still question people with an OPEN mind, educating myself on things I have never learned about.

Now back to the previous post: Kuwait has been known as a philanthropic country, where we dish out billions of dollars yearly to the unfortunate. We have always put others first and foremost before ourselves. That tells much about the Kuwaiti psyche. We MAY be racist, lazy and [add your rant here.]. But we, as many Arabs are, are a very honorable society who are "there" when someone needs us. The country itself is in need of a major infrastructure overhaul, we have a huge chunk of residential areas that still don't have the basic proper utilities. Ever asked WHY? It's because we always put our own needs aside when a disaster strikes. When war breaks out, we immediately jump to helping the war ravaged citizens of [insert country here].

And lastly I'd like to add, there are some issues that can never be resolved except by the will of God. Such as the Palestinian issue. We have fought that war for centuries. It USED to be a religious war, remember the Crusades? But now it's purely a political issue, in which the majority of the countries have decided that it's not worth the effort anymore. Instead, we decided to help the millions that have been suffering from that endless war. And I meant "we" not as a single nation, but as the world.

I've said my piece. Think before you comment.

No More Loans?

Here in Cairo..
My mobile won't stop getting news about Kuwait from family & friends.

Sheikh Sabah is Amir.."beeP" Sheikh Sa'ad is Amir.."beep" sheikh Sa'ad sent a msg to El Khorafy wanting to take the oath.."beep"..etc.

I will not get into politics here & I will not express my opinion about anything except the loans.

Yes my friends loans that people had to take for different needs from marriage to education & from getting family members out of jail to falsafa and buying a porsche!

As I heard that people who took loans from any commercial company or bank before "december 31, 2004" will be free of loans. no more monthly payments. Nice huh?

No! Not nice at all and not even fair at all "if it happened anyway". What about a person who had to take a loan on the "1st of January, 2005" to get his father out of jail? Or simply to send his little brother who has cancer to London? Tough luck? NO! There are maybe thousands of people took loans just to travel..or buy fancy cars or whatever silly reasons "no offence" but it IS silly.

Why Iraq is free of loans? Why palestine? Politics? Screw politics :D I dont think our wealthy country & future generations will benefit from palestine's olives & Iraq's "Raggy soap"! Oceans of money are spent on those unfaithful countries 3ala e7sabna oo e7sab our children.

Last but not least, Now what ya 7ukoomatna el mo7tarama oo majlesna el mowaQQar? It is either the WHOLE country is free of installments or NONE.

P.S: Central bank can stop approving loans for a week or two until el Qarar ye6la3. so el 7aramiya ma yesme3oon el khabar oo yakhthoon Qurooth o nas tenthelem!

That's IF No More Loans!

The Frosties & Dew Night, Shaved Head Syndrome

It's almost 4am right now (Wednesday morning).

My head feels like a 5 pound sack filled with 20 pounds of shit in it, my nose went south on me & I've been coughing up chunks of my lungs.

*coughs* ugh..now that looks like my liver?

Anyway, despite all of the above bitching (complaints?) whatever you wanna call it...I'm sitting on my bed...downloading more than 20 hours worth of Comedy Central shows (thanks for the push! you know who you are!) & diligently watching every single one of them.

Oh...I'm having some yummy Frosties along with my..uhmm...*counts bottles*...this is my 6th Dew I think.

I'm fucking bored, I'm so tired & sick but I can't sleep. I got to "wake up" for work in a few hours...ironically my FIRST DAY! Wooo....big fucking deal.

Oh here are unrelated incidents of the Shaved Head Syndrome:

I shaved my head and....

1- Shaikh Jaber died.

2- I got the flu.

3- My friends got the flu.

4- The whole fucking world is sick.

5- Iran decided to scare the fuck outta everyone & go on with their nuclear program.

6- A woman of 600 years old calls me cute at the supermarket.

7- My Papa John's leftover pizza mysteriously disappears. (I suspect the Large Rat living across the hall.)

8- I get a phone call with an automated recording telling me "Hello, this is an automated recording. Someone wants to speak to you." (what in the flying fuck....?)

9- I finally get to start my new job....I think.

10- I walk out of the barber shop, rubbing my newly shaven head...then suddenly with a screech & bang...some dumbass decided to crawl up a Chevy's rear-end.

How's that for the Shaved Head Syndrome? I should shave off my goatee & mustache. Maybe Elvis Presley will come back to life....

Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah: 1928 - 2006

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
يا ايتها النفس المطمئنة ارجعي الى ربك راضية مرضية فأدخلي في عـبادي وادخلي جنتي
صدق الله العـظيم
إنا لله وإنا اليه راجعون

HH Shaikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Beloved Amir of Kuwait has passed away at dawn on Sunday January 15th 2006.

Forever he will be cherished in our memories. The beloved Baba Jaber will never be forgotten.

Dude, Where's My Hair?!

I SHAVED mah HEAD!

w0o0o...i feel a breeze...*sobs* my silky haaaaaair! *bawls*

First time I shaved my head in like..uhmm...I don't really remember. As I sat there in the barber's chair..he looked at me & the dialogue goes as follows:

Moe: ha zayerna elyoum, le7ya?

Me: la abeek etgare3ni.

Moe: na3am? *stares* men sejek?

Me: ee gare3ni kho kaifi MOKHI! (shako mokhi sara7a madri.)

Moe: besmellah ilra7man ilra7eem...*starts rolling up his sleeves*

Me: shayefni kharoof il3eed? yakhi magelna thebee7a! (i DID have long hair)

Moe laughs crazily & proceeded to wield that fearsome buzzing shaving machine thru my hair....as it falls...

falls....
falls....
to the floor.. *stifles a sob*

I walk out about an hour later, & felt like someone put a fucking snow making machine blowing thru my hair...err...i mean over my HEAD. Brrr!
COLD!

I look in the mirror while driving...who the hell is that? Oh...

myyyy haaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiir *wails*

G'nite y'all...starting work tomorrow, today..uhh..whatever.

Poll Results

Well, its been quite awhile since I've last posted something. At my bro's INT'L nagging I'm finally posting the results!

*drumroll*

Of course! Look up and you'll see the results, click on the above picture for a larger view. For those of you who're spending winter break at home...well...elly may6ool il-3anGood, 7ameth 3anna yegool ;)

and PARIS? jeeze...I'm betting 10-1 that those of you who voted Paris are FEMALE...or maybe a lil bit of both?

Anyhow, I've been quite busy doing the following: sleeping, eating, sleeping, eating & you can guess the rest of the routine.

Sickly bored of this country, might just pack up & get the hell outta Dodge for awhile. Any suggestions? (NOT PARIS!)

I have one little rant to add:

Fuck the gov'mint beaucracies. Fuck the asshole who's been pushing my papers endlessly for a fucking whole month (or so.). And someone gotta do fucking something about it. I'm sick of this red tape beaucracy bullshit. One day you will see quite a nice mushroom cloud rising outta Q8 City...and it sure ain't the pipe I'm smoking.
